SMAC PTA General Meeting
Monday, March 15 – 6:30pm
SMAC (Shawnee Mission Area Council) PTA will have a general meeting tomorrow evening at 6:30.
Dr. Mike Fulton, current SMSD Superintendent, and Dr. Michelle Hubbard, incoming Superintendent / current Deputy Superintendent, will join the meeting for a Q&A time and will provide guidance and recommendations regarding PTA events/gatherings at schools.

Mrs. Hirsch, our wonderful music teacher, and Mill Creek PTA are making a holiday music showcase with music performed by us!
All members of the Mill Creek community, young and old, individuals and groups, may be included! Just record your performance and send it to Mrs. Hirsch as a file attachment in Canvas. We’ll compile all of the submissions into a Mill Creek holiday playlist that can be the background music for your holiday activities.

These students will now go on to compete at the district level where they will be judged against students from across SMSD in each of their given categories. District winners will then continue to the state level and eventually the national level.
On Tuesday, December 8, at 6pm, all school winners and the results of the SMAC district judging will be revealed on the SMAC website! We will post a link as soon as we get it!

Happy October! Here is more info on the Mill Creek Halloween House Tour!
Two ways to participate:
1. Sign up here to have your house included on the tour. Decorate the outside of your house for everyone to enjoy. Prizes (and bragging rights) will be awarded to the top three houses! Have your home decorated from Saturday, October 24th until Saturday, October 31st. Please sign up by Wednesday, October 21st!

2. The Mill Creek community will be given a list of homes that are included on the tour. Take your family on a walk or drive around to see all the decorated houses anytime from October 24th to October 31st. Vote for your favorite!
During yesterday evening’s general meeting, we presented the 2019-2020 Spirit and Life Achievement awards. The recipients were:

These people have consistently worked as advocates for Mill Creek’s children and have helped Mill Creek’s community and PTA in countless ways. They absolutely deserve our congratulations and thanks!
